The National Meteorological Service (SMN) has published its weather forecast for the Valley of Mexico, which includes Mexico City and the State of Mexico, for Friday, January 31, 2025. The region is expected to experience a warm atmosphere with no significant rainfall due to the presence of an anticyclonic circulation in mid-levels of the atmosphere, which limits the potential for precipitation in much of the country. This atmospheric phenomenon favors clear skies and high temperatures and will remain over the central part of the country with a low probability of rain.
In the morning, conditions are predicted to be cool in the Mexican capital and surrounding areas, with cold temperatures in the high zones of the State of Mexico. Temperatures will range between 8 and 10 °C in Mexico City at the start of the day. As the day progresses, the heat will intensify with partly cloudy or overcast skies in various parts of the region. There will be a chance of isolated rain in scattered areas of Mexico City and the State of Mexico.
Maximum temperatures will range between 24 and 26 °C, creating pleasant conditions for outdoor activities. Wind will also be a relevant factor during the day, with variable directions and intensities of between 10 and 20 km/h, with gusts that could reach 45 km/h, generating strong gusts in specific points of the region. Despite the predominance of warm weather and no significant rainfall, the SMN recommends staying informed through official channels in case of sudden changes in weather conditions.
